DDoS: what Foxcore does not claim
Foxcore does not sell a DDoS-protection tier or publish a mitigation guarantee. Here is what the panel and upstream network do, and how to report an attack.
The honest position
Foxcore does not sell a DDoS-protection tier, does not publish a scrubbing capacity, and does not promise a mitigation level or an uptime SLA for attack traffic. The acceptable use policy prohibits sending traffic meant to take a node or another customer offline.
Other hosts advertise always-on game filtering. Foxcore does not copy that claim onto a product that has not been measured. If a node’s upstream network filters some volumetric traffic, that is a property of the facility, not a Foxcore feature you bought.
Where game traffic goes
Players connect to the node’s allocation IP and port. Game UDP and the game TCP port do not terminate on Cloudflare and are not proxied by the panel Worker. Cloudflare protects the HTTP panel; it is not a game-traffic scrubbing layer.
That distinction matters when you evaluate a host. A protected website says nothing about a protected game port.
If an instance is under attack
Open Support with the instance id, the join host, when it started, what players see, and whether Console still reports the guest running. Support can read the instance id, its jobs, and what the node last reported, and can tell you what the panel sees. Staff do not have a control that stops a guest, moves an allocation, or filters traffic for you, and nothing in the panel mitigates an attack.
Do not respond to an attack by scanning or flooding another network. That breaks the acceptable use policy and can close the account.
- Note the start time and the symptoms players report.
- Copy the instance id and join host.
- Check observed power and Console before assuming the guest is down.
- Open Support and say plainly that you suspect an attack.
- Decide with your players whether to stop the instance from the header while it continues.
What we will not say
We will not call an instance “DDoS protected” because the panel is behind Cloudflare, and we will not quote a mitigation figure we cannot measure. If that changes, the claim will appear with a product page and a test, not in a help article.
