Foxcore FAQ for new customers
Short answers on sizes, pricing, packs, ports, backups, attack traffic, VPS, migration, and support, each linked to the article that explains the detail.
What does a server cost?
One Pro subscription covers a game instance. The size you pick sets the memory and CPU cap; the game title does not add a second price. The panel shows the current amount at checkout. This help centre does not quote a number because prices can change independently of the docs.
Can I change the game later?
Yes. Switch title replaces the pack on the same instance id and keeps the ports and the subscription. It does not create a second server or move billing onto a game name.
Do I get a dedicated IP?
Usually not. Several servers share one IPv4 through port multiplex. You get an IP:port allocation, and the host port may differ from the guest port when the pack allows a remap. A dedicated address is not the default.
Are backups automatic?
No. Backups are manual jobs and the tarball stays on the node, where it cannot be downloaded today. Restore uses the newest listed archive, so keep any copy you hold outside Foxcore.
Can I upload my world?
Not today. Files takes one file per upload at 256 KB or less, with no folder upload, SFTP, rsync, or object storage, so a world tree cannot move through the panel.
Is attack protection included?
Foxcore does not sell an attack-protection tier or promise a mitigation level. The panel is behind Cloudflare; game ports are not. Read the honesty article before you assume a protected website means a protected game server.
Can I buy a VPS?
Not yet. Public create is a game pack. A VPS guest needs floki with libvirt, and that isolator cannot define a domain yet. The VPS article explains what will and will not change when it ships.
Can you migrate my old server?
There is no automated importer, and world-scale transfer is not available: Files takes one file at a time at 256 KB or less. You can create the closest pack, but an existing world stays on the old host for now.
Where do I get help?
Search this help centre first, then open Support. Include the instance id, the join host, observed power, and what you already tried. Tickets are stored in Foxcore, not a third-party desk.
