Create a game server

Create picks a pack, region, and size. It stays closed until a ready node has free ports — there is no fake start.

What you get

A game server is an instance. Its guest is foxd with rootless Podman. You pick a pack (a title), a region, and a size. The purchase is one Pro subscription. The selected size is the memory and CPU cap, and disk is not quota'd. The title is a pack, not a price. A VPS guest is floki with libvirt, and that isolator cannot define a domain yet. Public create does not offer VPS. Machines share the contract later.

Guest workloads never run on the panel Worker. The control plane holds auth, catalog, billing, and desired state. The node agent starts the process and reports observed state.

Create from the panel

Sign in and open Services → Create. Create stays closed until a ready or healthy node has free allocations in a region. When capacity is missing, the form does not write desired state and does not fake a start.

  1. Sign in and open Services → Create.
  2. If Create waits for a node, capacity or inventory is not ready — that is not a silent start.
  3. When Create is enabled, choose a pack, region, and resources, then submit.
  4. The control plane mints an inst_ id, writes desired running, binds pack ports from inventory, and queues start.
  5. Wait for observed power to catch up on that same instance id. Use it for console, files, backups, and later a title switch.

If it stays pending

Pending means desired state is recorded and a node has not yet reported. The panel stays up if a node dies; that is not the same as a stopped instance. Include the instance id when you contact support.

How to create a game server

Searchers usually want a start button that pretends the guest is already up. Foxcore create does not do that. There is no fake start. The form stays closed until a ready or healthy node has a free allocation, and a closed form does not write desired state.

After submit you get one instance id. The guest is foxd with rootless Podman. The purchase is one Pro subscription. The selected size is the memory and CPU cap, and disk is not quota'd. The title is a pack, not a price. Public create does not offer VPS.
